Experience an afternoon of storytelling rooted in the healing power of art and ancestral craft. Led by Dr. Martha Rivas, this Critical Plática centers on Arte y Artesanía, exploring how handmade traditions, creative expression, and cultural memory become tools for personal and collective healing. The program features San Diego-based artesanas Sara ChulaMaiz (jewelry maker), Stephanie Ceniceros (artesana, poet, and writer), and Sombra Libertad (ceremonial skirt maker), who will share their practices and stories in dialogue with original artworks from the XICANA! San Diego exhibition.
