Día de Muertos: Special Museum Hours
Sunday, November 1, 2026 | 1–9 PM
Free admission
The California Center for the Arts Museum will stay open until 9 PM during the annual Día de Muertos Festival. Visit Blood Memory throughout the afternoon and evening, and join the campus festivities from 4–9 PM.
Honor loved ones by participating in Mexican artist Eloy Tarcisio’s Muerte de todos ofrenda de participación. Conceived for the Center in 1995, the installation invites visitors to create ofrendas in remembrance of those who have passed. Part of the museum’s permanent collection, Muerte de todos is its most frequently exhibited and most popular work, sustained by generations of community participation.
Altar spaces within the installation are available during the festival on a first come, first served basis.
